Reserve a Company Name

Not ready to register a company but want to make sure a name is available, you can apply to reserve the name.

Services provided:

• Checking availability of the company name and assist you to choose a name that is not identical to an existing name;

• Preparation and Lodgement of the Application for a company name Reservation with ASIC;

• Payment of the name reservation fee to ASIC and provide you with a receipt;

• Provide you with confirmation of the name reservation.

If ASIC approves your application, the name will be reserved for two months. If you wish to extend the name reservation past this period, you will need to apply to reserve the name again. ASIC will not reserve a company name for a long period as this may prevent other people from using the name legitimately.​
